I was asked to join a blogger competition featuring Gold Creations Jewelry. As a part of the competition we were given a necklace that we had to style, and whoever styled the necklace best won the price! I’m kind of late putting the blog post up but I did submit my photos on time and I wanted to share them with y’all.
In a world so stuck on pleasing the next person, I dare you to be different, and do it for you.
Just because you are given a necklace don’t just assume you have to wear it around your neck. When I was given this task that was my last resort. I thought about wearing it as a bracelet, anklet, or wrapping a portion of it around my wrist and the rest around my finger, you know like those cool bracelet ring things. THEN, it hit me. I am going to style this necklace by wearing it on my head.
Why do we feel that we have to do everything as instructed?
I mean its easy to “bend the rules” when it comes to a necklace, people won’t judge you to much for that, but what about that math problem? 2+2=4 and so does 3+1. So why do I have to do it your way to get the same result? That’s just it…. YOU DON’T. Why do I have to buy that same shirt from J.Crew and style it like my favorite blogger to be happy… YOU DON’T. Do you get where I’m going with this? I hope so
Although I didn’t win the competition, I am happy I had the opportunity to challenge myself in some way. Congrats to Ryan for winning! Don’t forget to check out Kelly and Savannah’s post too, y’all did a great job!
In a world full of squares, be a circle.
