On today’s episode of “Beauty Week,” I’m talking to you all about foundations! When I was getting myself ready for this post, I realized that I had not tried a drug store foundation in about two years or so, so I’ll be sure to get on that so I can give you all some reviews! What are your favorite drug store foundations?
I’ve already given you all my shade in the Dior AirSkin foundation here + my review on it. I’m shade 7N. I have six other foundations that I am going to share with you all today!
First one up, the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. I wear this foundation in the shade 8.25 Cool Walnut. This foundation is my go on the days where I want to wear makeup but not a lot. The Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation Stick is one step up from a BB cream to me. It’s not super heavy, but it also applies a significant amount of natural coverage. It is also currently 25% off on the Bobbi Brown website, and I’ve linked it for you here 🙂
Next up, we have the Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation. Phew, that’s long, haha! This foundation is one of my go to’s during the fall/winter months. It’s very long-wearing, and it doesn’t move as long as it isn’t humid outside, aka not a spring/summer foundation IMO for my skin type. I wear this foundation in the shade 4.25.
The Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation is one that I feel like I also have no matter if I’m reaching for it. It’s a foundation that I can go back to time and time again and never be disappointed. For me, this foundation has great coverage, one pump or a pump, and a half, and I am on my merry way. After about 8/10 hours of wear, I start to feel the weight of the foundation. I believe that there is one that is 24-hour wear CRAZY so I’ll have to try! I wear this foundation in the shade 550 Suede C.
Double Wear by Estēe Lauder was one of the first high-end foundations I ever bought. The formula is still the same, and this foundation lasts ALL DAY LONG. I don’t crease it doesn’t move, and the color match is out of this world. I wear this foundation in the shade 7W1 Deep Spice. I highly recommend purchasing the pump so that you aren’t wasting your foundation.
I’m going to combine the last two foundations. They are both high end, but to me are work EVERY penny. They are Ultra Le Teint by Chanel + Luminous Silk by Giorgio Armani. They are both lightweight foundations. To me, the Luminous Silk Foundation is the lighter out of the two. The shade match is GREAT, but the shade range is deeper in Luminous Silk. The Ultra Le Teint is by far my favorite for all day wear out of all of the foundations listed besides the Dior Airflash of course! I wear the shade 14 in the Luminous Silk + the shade BD141 in the Ultra Le Tient by Chanel. Luminous Silk is currently 20% off on their site and I’ve linked it for you here 🙂
Open to any foundation suggestions that you all think I should try!
