Whether you’re making gourmet meals from scratch or reheating frozen dishes mostly, I think a lot of us spend a good deal of time in the kitchen. Therefore, it’s probably time to do an overhaul of organizing, cleaning and improving! As an avid chef, I’ve put a lot effort into making my kitchen one of my favorite rooms in the house so I wanted to share my tips with you!
Displaying spices
Instead of having all my spices taking up cabinet space in mismatched jars, I bought clear acrylic wall mounted shelves and a large set of matching spice jars so that I could display them beautifully on my wall! It’s such a good way to save storage space.
Upgrade/replace your pots and pans
If you’ve been using the same pots and pans for years and years, it might be time to purchase some new ones. Especially if we’re talking about pesky non-stick pans that are so old that the non-stick coating has worn off! You could either repurchase at the same level or upgrade to something a bit nicer if you cook a lot. If you want to save space, I would definitely consider the Our Place Always Pan, which is basically an 8-in-1 pan. It’s one of my favorite kitchen items!
Add peel and stick wallpaper
Kitchens don’t have to be boring! Peel and stick wallpaper is an easy, renter-friendly way to add some character to a small space. I love the colorful style I have in my kitchen from Chasing Paper. It completely makes the space!
Upgrade your everyday drinking glasses and plates/bowls
Glasses and dinnerware almost always get the most use out of anything in the kitchen! There are so many affordable options to elevate these everyday basics such as these clear drinking glasses and these gorgeous scalloped white plates!
Buy one thing that would make your life easier
There are so many kitchen gadgets to make cooking easier it’s overwhelming. I’m sure we’ve all had that one thing that’s been on our wish list or shopping list forever but we just haven’t made the effort to buy. Whether it’s something bigger like an air frier or small like a lemon press or veggie chopper, do yourself a favor and just hit purchase finally. It might incentivize you to cook more!
Optimize space with drawer and shelf organizers
Utilize vertical space even more by adding organizers within your cabinet shelves to make stacking items easier. Another great place to add in organizers is drawers because it’s so easy for them to get messy and to not be able to find what you need!
