I don’t know about you, but I’m not just walking around buying $17 brushes, haha.
Since I’m natural, it’s hard for me to find a brush that works for my curls, I was beginning to feel like there wasn’t a brush out there made for me + my hair type, so I started to finger detangle instead. I enjoyed finger detangling, but I didn’t feel like I was detangling my hair thoroughly.
While I was shopping in Ulta (pre quarantine), I came across the Pattern Beauty brand by Tracee Ellis Ross. The brand launched six or seven months ago, but I didn’t get a chance to try anything because it sold out within hours! So you can only imagine my excitement when I came across the whole collection in Ulta. The brush was the first thing I reached for. I’d never seen a brush that was as sturdy as this one was + had such firm bristles.
Companies are usually making wet brushes with straight hair in mind only, not curly girl-friendly. These brushes are typically flimsy and don’t hold up well at all against my hair type.
I purchased my brush, went home, and immediately washed my hair so that I could play with my new brush!
I’ve already noticed such a difference with this brush. (I’ve been using it for two months) My curls have become more manageable in both the wash and go stage and stretched out stage. Like I said, YOU NEED THIS BRUSH. Thank me later.
